What do I need to get something notarized or have you officiate a wedding?

  • To get a document notarized, bring the unsigned document and a valid, government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or passport) to a notary public. All signers must appear in person. Do not sign the document until you are in the notary's presence. Fill out the document, but do not sign or date it yet. Bring identification: You must have a current, unexpired government-issued photo ID. All individuals signing the document must  be present. Sign in front of the notary. For wedding officiant services in Colorado, ensure you have a valid Colorado marriage license, which you must obtain from a County Clerk and Recorder, and I will sign it as your officiant.

For notarizations, please have your document completely filled out but unsigned, and bring your valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID. For wedding officiant services, the most crucial step is to obtain your valid Colorado marriage license from a County Clerk and Recorder *before* your ceremony. Key details about Colorado marriage licenses: No registration: The Officiant does not need to register with the state or county. Signature: The officiant just needs to sign your marriage license after the ceremony. Witnesses are not legally required to sign the license in Colorado.
